FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – After the heartbreaking drowning of 7-year-old Ackamus Prince Gil on June 25, the family needs your help to raise money for the funeral.
Gill’s family started a GoFundMe page three days ago, and they are already halfway to their goal, according to GoFundMe. The goal is to raise $7,500, and they have brought in nearly $4,000 as of Monday afternoon. The amount of donations has been great so far, but they need more help.

“Every donation, no matter the size, and every prayer means more than words we can express,” according to the family.
Ackamus was a brother, nephew, and son who was deeply loved, according to the family. He enjoyed laughing and spending time playing with his siblings.
The 7-year-old was described as a gentle soul who was kind to everyone he encountered. The family added that his laugh was a memorable one that would joyfully echo through his family’s home.
“Losing him has left a void that words cannot describe, and we are struggling to cope with this heartbreaking loss,” said the family on GoFundMe.
