CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Local veterans were honored Friday evening by the Clovis Country Lions Club.
The group held its second annual “Thank You For Your Service” dinner, which provided a free chicken parmesan and pasta meal to veterans and their guests in an expression of gratitude for their service.
Those in attendance were treated to an orchestral tribute and a patriotic dessert.
The event took place at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District and was dedicated to honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service of local veterans.
The organization advises veterans to keep an eye out for this event next year so their service can be recognized as well.
The Clovis Country Lions meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 12:30 p.m. at the Denny’s restaurant at Clovis and Herndon Avenues in Clovis.
