Mariposa County Celebrates America's 250th Birthday!

Mariposa County is partnering with the Mariposa Butterfly Festival and many of our amazing community civic groups to host a celebration of the United States turning 250 years old, and Mariposa County is celebrating in a big way! Join us on Saturday, July 4, 2026, for a full day of community pride, family fun, and unforgettable entertainment as we honor this historic milestone.

Residents and visitors alike are invited to come together in the heart of Mariposa County to celebrate the spirit, heritage, and future of our nation.

From mid-morning festivities to an exciting evening finale, the 250th Birthday Celebration will feature activities for all ages.

Live Music & Entertainment

Enjoy live music throughout the day from talented local and regional performers. Bring a lawn chair,  hang out in the Arts Park, relax with friends and family, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Food & Local Vendors
