FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The City of Fresno announced Thursday that the cooling centers will open due to temperatures that are projected to exceed 105 degrees.

The National Weather Service says temperatures are expected to reach 105 degrees on Saturday. As a result, three Cooling Centers will be open to the public on August 1 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Ted C. Wills Community Center; 770 N. San Pablo, Fresno, CA 93728

Mosqueda Community Center; 4670 E. Butler Ave. Fresno, CA 93702

Maxie L. Parks Community Center; 1802 E. California Ave. Fresno, CA 93706

Cooling Centers are air-conditioned places where residents can go to cool down during the hot summer, according to the Public Utilities Commission.
