VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people were arrested after a driver led Visalia Police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle before crashing through a barbed wire fence and running into an orchard, according to the Visalia Police Department.
Police said officers received a report at 7:47 a.m. that a 2013 Honda Accord had been stolen overnight from a home. Before officers arrived, the vehicle’s owner called back to report finding the Honda parked in the trailhead parking lot near Lovers Lane and St. Johns Parkway with two people inside.
As officers responded, the Honda drove westbound on St. Johns Parkway, police said.
Officers later spotted the car traveling north on Ben Maddox Way as it was leaving the city and attempted to stop it.
According to police, the driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit westbound on Avenue 328. The driver then turned onto a dead-end dirt road and attempted to drive through a barbed wire fence, disabling the vehicle.

Police said the driver fled into an orchard but was arrested after a brief foot chase.
Officers identified the driver as 31-year-old Ramiro Espindola. A passenger, identified as 38-year-old Angelina Grajiola, was also taken into custody.
