
The Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) is inviting photographers of all experience levels to participate in its Tenth Annual Rural County Photo Contest, which runs from July 1 through July 31, 2026.
Celebrating a decade of showcasing the beauty, diversity, and character of rural California, the contest encourages participants to submit photographs that capture the scenery, activities, communities, history, and unique charm of RCRC’s 40 member counties.
Photo entries may be submitted through the contest webpage or by email to photocontest@rcrcnet.org. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on July 31, 2026.
Each submission must:
- Be the original work of the photographer.
- Include the location where the photo was taken, including the county.
- Include the photographer’s full name and email address.
Last year’s contest drew strong participation from across rural California, receiving 320 entries from 155 photographers representing 37 RCRC member counties.
The grand prize winner will receive a $300 Amazon gift card, and the winning photograph will be unveiled during the September RCRC Board of Directors Meeting. The second-place winner will receive a $150 Amazon gift card, while the third-place winner will receive a $75 Amazon gift card.
