Local Mendota park vandalized over 4th of July weekend

MENDOTA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Police are actively looking for leads after a park in Mendota was vandalized over the Fourth of July weekend.

Investigators say between 11:20 p.m. Saturday and 12:40 a.m. Sunday, Rojas Pierce Park on 350 Sorenson Avenue was vandalized.

Officers say when community spaces like parks are defaced, it takes away from local families and costs the community time and resources to fix.

Mendota Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area, have surveillance footage, or know something regarding this incident to call Detective S. Vasquez directly at 559-655-9120 or via email at Sylvia.Vasquez@fcle.org.
