Music on the Green is back! The Mariposa County Arts Council kicks off the 36th season of the beloved summer concert series this weekend with free live music and family-friendly evenings at the Mariposa County Art Park in downtown Mariposa.
The opening weekend of Music on the Green will feature the Yosemite Jazz Band on Friday, June 5, and Clan Dyken on Saturday, June 6.

The Yosemite Jazz Band, based out of Eastern Madera County (North Fork), is a Dixieland jazz band that has been performing for decades. Audiences can expect tenor banjo, horns, drums, bass, vocals, and a New Orleans-inspired sound to ring through the Art Park for opening night.
On Saturday, June 28, Music on the Green will also feature the Ramen on the Green fundraiser beginning at 5 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy handcrafted ramen from Little Shop of Ramen, local wine from The Local Grape, special artist talks and presentations and an unforgettable evening of live music under the trees at the Art Park. Proceeds from the event support the continued success of Music on the Green.
Clan Dyken will light up historic downtown Mariposa for the first Saturday evening of Music on the Green. Clan Dyken is also a band with decades of experience under their belt. The band opened for the Jerry Garcia Band in the 1980s and continues to perform at some of California’s premier festivals to this day. They present a strong dose of rock, blues, and social activism,
singing for the Earth and its inhabitants.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Highway 140 in historic downtown Mariposa. Parking is available along 4th and 5th Streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.
Tips for the performers are appreciated and encouraged.
