Aircraft down near Woodlake airport, deputies say

WOODLAKE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Tulare County Fire Department, is responding to a report of an aircraft down near the Woodlake airport.

Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, first responders were dispatched to the area of Road 204 and Avenue 336.

The sheriff’s office says that due to safety concerns, several extended road closures are in place, and motorists should find alternate routes.

These are currently the affected roadways:

Avenue 336 & Road 196

Avenue 332 & Road 196

Road 204 & Ropes

Road 204 & Avenue 332

Emergency crews are actively working the call and ask that first responders be allowed access to the impacted area. 

There is no word yet on injuries.
