For four decades, Bryant’s Ace Hardware has been more than just a hardware store in the mountain communities — it has been a gathering place, a trusted resource, and a fixture of daily life for generations of residents. Now, the longtime Oakhurst business is inviting the community to celebrate a major milestone with a family-friendly anniversary event packed with food, music, giveaways, and hometown spirit.
On Saturday, June 6, Bryant’s Ace Hardware will host its “40th Anniversary Parking Lot Party” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the store in Oakhurst. The celebration will feature food and brand vendors, a beer garden, live music, appearances from first responders, activities for kids, giveaways, and more.
As previously reported by Sierra News Online, Bryant’s Ace Hardware has built its reputation on family ownership, local service, and deep ties to the mountain area. Over the years, the store has grown alongside the community while maintaining the small-town customer service that many residents say has become increasingly rare.
Owned by the Bryant family, the Oakhurst store is part of the larger Ace Hardware cooperative network but remains locally owned and operated — something the company says allows stores like Bryant’s to stay closely connected to the communities they serve.
The anniversary celebration appears designed to reflect exactly that local connection. Social media promotions for the event emphasize community appreciation, thanking customers for “40 years of serving our amazing community right here in Oakhurst.”
For longtime residents, Bryant’s Ace Hardware has often been one of those places where errands turn into conversations and neighbors run into neighbors. Whether helping locals prepare for winter storms, wildfire season, home repairs, ranch work, or weekend projects, the store has remained woven into everyday life in the foothill communities.
The June 6 celebration is expected to bring together customers old and new for a day that feels part community festival and part hometown thank-you.
The event will take place at Bryant’s Ace Hardware, located at 40596 Westlake Drive in Oakhurst. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
