Gusty winds from the south to southwest are occurring. The Mesonet site at Mertzon at 1235 PM has sustained wind speed 18 mph with gusts to 24 mph. San Angelo Airport has wind speed 17 mph with gusts to 29 mph. Expect continued south-southwest winds at 15-20 mph through with gusts 24-28 mph through 4 PM, and then wind speeds and gusts will decrease by 5-6 PM. Expect winds from the south tonight at 10-15 mph. Relative humidity (RH) values 38-42 percent early this afternoon will drop to minimums near 32 percent by 4-5 PM. RH values will increase after sunset to around 50 percent by 8 PM,to 60 percent by 9 PM, and 70 percent by 1-2 AM Sunday.
