Motorcyclist dead after crash with garbage truck in Fresno County

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A motorcyclist is dead after a crash with a garbage truck in Fresno County Monday, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred at around 1 p.m. on South Temperance Avenue and East Clemenceau Avenue.

The motorcyclist and the garbage truck were both going north on Temperance Avenue.

CHP said that the garbage truck driver was making a left turn, and it appeared that the motocyclist was attempting to pass, and that’s when they crashed into each other.

CHP said that the motorcyclist was a man. Officials have not released his name.

The man driving the garbage truck had no reported injuries but was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

This is an ongoing investigation.
