KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Looking to tie the knot anytime soon? The Kings County Clerk, Recorder’s Office is providing affordable wedding ceremony services to residents on Thursdays.

Thursdays are what the county refers to as “Tie the Knot Thursday.” Couples can make an appointment for the special day through their website.

Marriage Ceremonies are performed by the clerk or recorder on Thursdays, by appointment only. The ceremony can also be performed by another person. The ceremony costs $45 and up to six guests or witnesses can be present (in addition to the couple) for the ceremony. If there are any more people, the ceremony will be held outside.

Couples must bring one witness for the ceremony, age 18 or over. If a witness is not there, the county can provide one for $15.
