Oakhurst, CA – Join the Coaresgold RCD (Resource Conservation District) for Fire Safety Night at Shuteye Brewing in Oakhurst. On Thursday, September 18, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, the RCD event will feature speakers from our local management partners. They will explain the Firewise program, and the partners will share information about funding opportunities and answer any questions regarding upcoming regulations. It’s an opportunity for the community to learn not only about the Firewise program but also to meet the Coarsegold RCD and other local partners who are here to help everyone.

Firewise communities qualify for an insurance discount. It only takes eight neighbors to form a community, and at the event, you can get assistance with the application. Being part of a Firewise community makes you eligible for grant-funded defensible space work. You already tidy up your yard, why not get rewarded for what you’re already doing?

Food will be available for purchase, and the event is open to all ages.
