FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Skaggs Bridge Park is set to close in less than a week due to construction for a park improvement project, according to Fresno County officials.
Officials say the park will close on Monday, Sept. 8, prior to its annual seasonal closure, which occurs on Oct. 1.
The project will include several improvements to the park, including a parking lot expansion, improved accessibility, and installation of perimeter fencing.
Funding for this project was provided by the American Rescue Plan Act.
The park will be closed until the spring of 2026. Fresno County officials say, depending on the weather, if it’s a drier winter season, the park could open before March.
