Bass Lake, California – The Eastern Madera County Fire Safe Council will hold a public town hall meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the Lakeview Room at the Pines Resort in Bass Lake. The meeting will run from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Guest speakers from CalFire, the Red Cross, the Madera County Office of Emergency Services, and other organizations will be in attendance.
“This town hall is a chance for our community to come together, ask questions, and get the tools we need to strengthen our resilience to wildfire. We’ll be sharing updates on local projects, upcoming changes to code, evacuation readiness, rebates for equipment, and discuss navigating insurance challenges. Most importantly, this is your opportunity to connect directly with experts and neighbors, and walk away with information and resources that can make your family and our community safer and more prepared. I encourage everyone to join us and take an active role in protecting what we love about living, recreating, and doing business in the Bass Lake area. Residents play a huge part in building a more Fire Adapted Madera County.”
— Ashley Nebeker, Executive Director, Eastern Madera County Fire Safe Council
The EMCFSC’s goal is to develop programs that enhance our community’s wildfire resilience, whether through education, larger-scale community fuel reduction projects, or initiatives to assist individual homeowners. As a non-profit, they seek funding to implement impactful wildfire fuel reduction projects for our community.
