TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 42-year-old man from Farmersville was found guilty of lewd acts with a child and other crimes, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Jose Martinez-Delgadillo was found guilty in a court trial on Aug. 13. The DA said the court convicted him of seven counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of 14. He was also convicted of one count of invasion of privacy and one count of possession of child or
youth pornography.

According to the DA, the crimes occurred between Oct. 1, 2013, and Oct. 31, 2021, against a female victim, who was between the ages of nine and 15 at the time of the acts.
The court also found true the special allegation of substantial sexual conduct. Additionally, the DA said the court found true the aggravating factors that the crimes involved planning, sophistication and professionalism, and were committed against a vulnerable victim. The DA said that the defendant took advantage of a position of trust or authority in committing the crimes.
Nine of the counts are felonies, and seven are considered strike offenses.
Sentencing for Martinez-Delgadillo is set for Sept. 19, 2025. The DA’s office said that, based on evidence and California sentencing laws, he faces over 22 years in state prison. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.
