Coarsegold, Calif. – This fall, the Central Valley will come alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of the West as two local rodeo families join forces for an unforgettable celebration of community, tradition, and western heritage. The Coarsegold Harvest Rodeo takes place Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds.

This partnership has been generations in the making. Veater Ranch, established in 1937, and the Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds, founded in 1974, share deep roots in preserving the western way of life. Though both have long supported rodeo culture in their own ways, this is the first time they’ve officially come together… neighbors on the same mountain, united to put community first.
Originally slated as the “Battle of the Best” at Veater Ranch, the event has been reimagined to highlight community over competition. The Veater family and the Steward family, owners of the Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds, have combined their passion, resources, and talent to create an event that honors tradition, strengthens local ties, and offers entertainment for the whole family.
The Coarsegold Harvest Rodeo will feature:
-
Bulls from Humpz N Horns and broncs from Veater Ranch, showcasing elite rodeo talent
-
Barrel racing championship round from the 4 series event with an added pot of $2,500.
-
Junior events and mutton bustin’ for aspiring young cowboys and cowgirls
-
Special guest Bella Da Costa, an internationally recognized trick rider from Canada
-
A Jason Aldean tribute concert, in keeping with the event’s theme: “Gettin’ Warmed Up”

Beyond the arena action, attendees will enjoy a pumpkin patch, fall-themed activities, and kids’ games, making it a must-attend event for all ages.
Tickets are on sale now, and organizers are aiming for a sellout to show the strength of Coarsegold’s western spirit.
