Mariposa, Calif – The Mariposa County Arts Council’s Music on the Green concert series continues its summer celebration with another memorable weekend of live performances in the heart of historic downtown Mariposa.

Multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Lefler

On Friday, August 8, Music on the Green will showcase the talented multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Lefler of Calaveras County. Nicholas is a percussion, guitar and looping master who creates, records and performs his music as a full-time career musician and has been doing it for well over two decades. He is no stranger to Music on the Green and has performed on the art park stage many times throughout the years. His solo shows are a sight and sound to behold as he virtuosically plays and loops drums, keyboard, bass, guitar and vocals across many genres and soundscapes.

Singer/Songwriter Ruby Lee Hill

On Saturday, August 9, Ruby Lee Hill will make her Music on the Green debut. Currently based out of California’s Bay Area after relocating from North Carolina. Ruby is an archetype of a country/Americana songbird. Music on the Green is lucky to have this singer/songwriter on our stage as it’s safe to say she will most likely outgrow our small town and move on to venues such as Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado or the Gorge amphitheater in Washington before long. She could easily open national or international tours for the hottest and most popular country/Americana acts, and could be compared to contemporary artists such as Sierra Ferral or Margo Price and classics such as Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa County Art Park, located at 5013 Hwy 140 in historic downtown Mariposa. Parking is available along 4th and 5th Streets, with accessible pedestrian access via the lower 5th Street parking lot through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry.

Tips for the performers are appreciated and encouraged.
